I’ve heard one of those pieces before, around 4:34, (what’s it called?)I remember it well because I almost thought it sounded like a strum instrument,..very very tight playing!!     They’re as good as any Indonesian. But I realise that authenticity is an issue in the marketplace. But not from this particular consumer. They got Kotekan down. Can play it in their sleep. They’re in’ and might even have something over many Indonesians about what facets of gamelan that westerners might enjoy more. Jaap Kunst would be proud.
