If you have a granted vacation to ONE place, will you go to Bali or Iceland?
May 6, 2009 - Posted in Bali vacation packages
Bali is a Toruist resort Island in Indonesia …… Warnth
Iceland is up North of the world…. Cool/Cold
Depends on:
- Time to destination (bali you have to go to through hong kong/kuala lumpur/singapore)
- If I want a tan
- If I like being outside, even for a whole day
- If I am interested in woodcarving, batik (art of painting on fabric people wear) and painting, Indonesian dancing (for example legong). These are the cultural aspect of BALI
- If I like being pampered in a SPA (this is very affordable in Bali)
- Maybe like visiting other Islands (Indonesia)
- If I like water-sports (surf, dive) maybe get a padi license, or look at dolphins at sea.
- How long I am staying gin the country (a lot of people do bali in 3-7 days)
- If I like everyone to speak english (people whom not in tourism dont speak english that well)
- Eating here is very affordable, sea food is very hot (still pricy for locals)
In short, bali is very romantic, al lot of flowers a lot of sweet people. WaTch you budget, because they will charge for about 75-100% of what locals pay, foreigner pay abou 25-50%.
Also, kuta is very busy with tourists, so you wont get any culture here, visit an other spot (hotel) on the island to get some peace, and less tourist.
Iceland
The interior mainly consists of a plateau characterized by sand fields, mountains and glaciers, while many big glacial rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands.

Icelanders have a rich culture and heritage, such as cuisine and poetry, and the medieval Icelandic Sagas are internationally renowned
The culture of Iceland is rich and varied as well as being known for its literary heritage which stems from authors from the 12th to 14th centuries. Other Icelandic traditional arts include weaving, silver crafting, and wood carving. The ReykjavÃk area has several professional theatres, a symphony orchestra, an opera, and a large amount of art galleries, bookstores, cinemas, and museums.
Icelandic architecture draws from Scandinavian influences and, traditionally, was influenced by the lack of native trees on the island. Grass- and turf-covered houses were developed. The original grasshouses constructed by the original settlers of Iceland were based on Viking longhouses.
There are no native reptiles or amphibians on the island.
The animals of Iceland include the Icelandic sheep, cattle, chicken, goat and the sturdy Icelandic horse.
English is widely spoken as a secondary language, and many Icelanders speak it almost at a native level of proficiency
If I could pick, I would go to bali… because I like topical climates, deep sea diving and peace… They also have amazing gardens (good hotels that is)…
Is the seminyak suite in Bali a good choice for honeymooners?
Sounds
good? Then please enter your details into this

There are so many things to do there! Partying is really great! And I would love to go hiking up the trails of the volcano there and go into the hot springs!

That would depend on the season, Tia.
If it’s summer here I’d rather go to Iceland. If it’s winter here I’d rather go to Bali.
