I'm planning a vacation to Bali for Sep 08, don't know the climate or country. Please share tips do's dont's.

I am planning to spend 10-12 days and mix the mountain and the beaches. What about hotels? What are the must do's in this place? Is September a good month in terms of climate?
Since Indonesia is so close to the equator, the temperature is tropical all year round. It stays from 80-90 degrees farenheit. Also, the daylight is about the same all year round. I think it gets dark around 6pm. The only thing you should look out for is monsoon season, where it will be very rainy. I've traveled to Bali and areas surrounding. I reccomend Lombok. There are some great islands too that you could find a cheap boat taxi to take you too.
As far as hotels go, you can find some inexpensive decent places to stay once you get there. There is a lot to see, check out the local marketplaces, those are really cool.

Bali is a nice island in the world.
I am from Indonesia and stay in Jakarta, but I have been stayed in Bali for 2 years.
In september is good for visit Bali , not so hot and not rainy
only one or two days rain a week and not hard rain
All Tourist around the world visited Bali.
There a lot of nice beach, mountain & lake.
a thousand of temple and the big one temple name is Besakih …. this tample the mother temple in Bali.
And a new one is "Garuda Wisnu Kencana " in Jimbaran , the big statue and nice craft mountain.
So Many handicraft from fabric, wood, silver & stone crafing
painting, music & dance
Most popular beach in South is "Kuta", Sanur, Nusa Dua, Dream land, Jimbaran for surfing, jet sky, banana boat, para sailing and snorkling
And In North beach is "Lovina" you can see the Dolphin every evening, jump to up beach … and nice attraction.
Bali has a lot traditional Dance & Ceremony , this interesting and always show for Tourist
The Traditional Dance are : Kecak …. more than hundread man participant with a mouth music "cak..cak..cak..cak.."
Barong Dance & so many other traditional dance.
The Ceremony :
"Galungan" the Festival days – 2 time – a year – all Hindu's Bali people go to the Tample wearing the traditional costum and bring a lot of food , fruit & flower
"Ngaben" The ceromony for Burn of dead people
"Nyepi" a silenc day … all the day not allow to go outside and all the lamp and electricity s/b off.
In THe night you can go to Bar, Cafe and Discotique in Kuta, Legian …and a good discotique is at the beach …. we dance on the sand…In Double Six .
"BUggy Jumping" in Double Six beach
Water Boom ….. also

Hi there…
in Sept, Bali will be raining sometimes but not too much.
hotels…to enjoy good private beach, you can check those in Nusa Dua. It is more secluded area and most hotels are fancy hotels. Since you are in Bali, Indonesia…try some branded hotel…its is relatively cheaper than other destination.
If you like water sport, try to get hotel in Sanur or Benoa
Mountain area…you must stay in Ubud. Try Alila Ubud. I love the view there.
Must do:
- Follow their rules. In some temples they have strict rules in dress etc…just follow it if you want to enter.
- If you buy something in market…specially tradituional market…try to bargain
- Do water sport, eat grilled pork (in Ubud), buy some art craft, do SPA
Sept is a good month
