Which is better vacation spot in Indonesia: Jakarta or Bali?

I’m interested in seeing south east Asia. I was told that Indonesia is best bet for 7 day vacation (they say better than Thailand, Philppines).
So if I decide to go the Indo way! Which is better Jakarta or beach resort region like Bali. I shud mention that I prefer city life, more than beach towns!! Yet is Jakarta is not worthwhile at all, please let me know!!

Bali has many interesting places besides the beach, temples, rice field in Ubud, Monkey Forest in Ubud, city and night life all scattered around in kuta, sanur, Seminyak, Nusa Dua. Shopping is wonderful, Sukawati market has all the crafts you want and in the next town in Mas you can get all the silver and gold jewelry. You can check any kinds of lodging that suit your budget, most of the time breakfast and transport to and from the airport are included. Hope it helps.

They both have equal amount of beauty in both country but I would go to jakarta

Why not try DAVAO City or CEBU City in the Philippines!
