Can anyone recommend some reasonably priced nice hotels in Kuta, Bali?

February 19, 2010 - Posted in kuta

Preferably in a good location such as near the Hard Rock Hotel. Thanks!

go to a travel agent and pick up the free book "bali on any budget" i have the oz edition issued 1st April 2008. you will find a lot of info in there on prices, web sites etc. for many hotels.

i went November 2008 and stayed at the champlung mas kuta and found it extremely good. great room with a/c reasonably priced, free breakfast, a computer room but i found it cheaper to go to an internet cafe a f ew hundred or less metres to the right, also a laundry about the same distance away but not at the hotel but the best was a pool bar, not a bar near the pool but one where you could sit in the pool on stools in the pool at the bar or the other side (on dry ground) and order your drinks. towels issued at the pool if required (free). massages available for a price. virtually a stones throw from Kuta beach and the main centre all within easy walking distance and for me as an elderly person who does little (and actually hates) walking it was a breeze.

all the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. other guests were a varied lot but all got on well and the atmosphere was great.

best of all, to me anyway, was (i think the time is right but not sure) 5-6 every night where you could get 2 beers for the price of one and 2 cocktails from the list for the price of one and if you are smart you get through your first 2 then order your next 2 just before closing times so to speak and you can then take your time to consume one and the other is kept on ice for you.

go into the net under champlung mas (kuta) and see what the prices are now.

i could probably have got slightly cheaper prices but i wanted a bit of comfort and my own travel Agent who is also a friend stayed there on the many occasions he has visited Bali and that was good enough for me.

have a wonderful time, the balinese are lovely helpful people.

  2. Hi. I have stayed at Kuta Paradiso Hotel just outside of kuta square. For us it was reasonably priced, the facilities were really good, and it’s walking distance to pretty much anywhere. I’d stay there again if I was to go back. Not too sure on current prices or anything but I quite liked it. Worth a look anyway.

  5. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
