What is the best place/area to be (stay for a Holiday) in Bali, indonesia? Kuta, Sanur or anywhere else?

kuta is the popular area where you must definately drop by even if you plan to stay off town. There are a lot of restaurants serving different cuisine. Authentic indonesian food, western etc. Plenty of surf shops, shopping that you can indulge in. Billabong and Roxy is generally less expensive.
I would prefer the lodging at Nusa Dua. It is where most of the 5 star hotels are. The place is a bit off town but here you find peace and is a good venue to chill out.

Definately non of those countries you mentioned I don't like to spend my holiday.I rather to stay in my own place than to go that places you're talking.

Kuta was the best place in Bali, or you can try Jimbaran or Nusa Dua

I prefer Nusa Dua or Seminyak, Nusa Dua has great hotels, and seminyak has nice villas and nice place to shop andl located near kuta. Dont forget to visit ku de ta at Seminyak, and save a day to escape to Ubud.
