How long does it take to travel from Legian to Kuta?

Planning to go to Bali next year. I’m planning to stay in a hotel in Legian but at the same time I’d want to check out kuta. So how long does it takes to travel to Legian to Kuta and what kinda transport do I take?

you could walk and it would take you maybe 15 minutes. keep in mind though that its very hot and you will be hot and sweaty. the footpath is dodgy but you get to see the sights of the beach/ traffic/ donkeys etc
alternatively take a taxi. maybe 5 minutes and they are pretty cheap.
i usually would walk there, do my shopping, stop have a cold coke at a bar, finish shopping and then taxi to hotel.
